2012 will see the third year of The McCain UK Mountain Running Challenge - this will be an open four race challenge, with three races required to count in the overall standings (for which prize money will be available).
McCain already support a number of initiatives at UKA and have heavily invested in the domestic competition scene and it is excellent news that Mountain Running has been included within the overall McCain Challenge which now covers all disciplines.
The Challenge races are:
Inter Counties race (Up & Down) – Shining Tor, Goyt Valley, Saturday 19 May
European Championships Trial (Up & Down) – details tbc, weekend 2/3 June
World Championships Trial (Uphill only) – details tbc, weekend 4/5 August
Home Country International (Uphill only) – Melmerby, Cumbria, Saturday 22 September
