Recognising personal bests…

This is an individual awards programme that can be used by schools and clubs to recognise and reward personal development in athletics

The Aviva Shine Awards provide opportunities for children from the age of three and upwards to try athletics through fun physical challenges and rewards them for their efforts. They promote an incentive to learn and to develop individual athletic skill through four levels of activity.

The Aviva Shine Awards aim to cater for children of all abilities, so an adapted version of the scheme is included at all Levels for young people with disabilities. Visit the Aviva Shine Awards website for more information.

Aviva UKA Academy

Your role is proven to be crucial in nurturing talent in children. As a parent we want to you to be happy that our awards programme is easy to understand and available either in school or at the local club.

The Awards programme is not intended to "pass or fail" any child but can help to identify possible areas of strength or weakness whether this be in running, jumping or throwing.

The revisions we are making to the online presence of our scheme will allow you to iteract with the performance sof your child and understand more about how they can progress in every area of our sport.

The Aviva Elevating Athletics pack is your starting point but we then hope that the Aviva Shine Awards programme can offer an effective test for your children / potential athletes as they learn to enjoy all aspects of running, jumping and throwing.

The exciting rewards and choice of single or multiple event options allows for any class size and all ability levels to achieve and make progress time and again.
